Overview

A team of lawyers takes on the heads of Argentina's bloody military dictatorship during the 1980s in a battle against odds and a race against time.

The challenge involved replacing an actor's head. The actor was filmed separately —using positioning and lighting similar to the main shot— so that the two takes could be composited to achieve an invisible effect.

Replacement & compositing

To resolve a conflict where the lead actor was unavailable on set, the production filmed the sequence using a stand-in double. Llater captured the lead actor's performance against a chroma key background, carefully matching the lighting, camera angles, and perspective of the original take. Our VFX team then seamlessly composited the key actor’s head onto the double's body to deliver an undetectable performance integration.
